100 rapid-fire either-or questions. One card, one word, no explaining — the fastest way to learn a lot about someone in ten minutes.
One hundred questions, one word each
Rapid fire is the opposite of a deep conversation deck, and that's the point. Each of these 100 cards is a two-option question you can answer in a single word: coffee or tea, plan or improvise, apologize first or wait. Nobody has to justify anything, so nobody gets defensive, and the answers arrive faster than the part of your brain that edits them.
How to play
Draw a card, read it out, and the other person answers immediately. If they hesitate for more than two seconds, that counts as a pass and you move on. Play in alternating turns, or fire fifteen cards at one person and then swap. Halfway through, you'll notice the good part: certain answers make everyone at the table want to argue, and that's when you put the deck down and let the argument happen.
Where it works
This deck fits the gaps other games don't: a first date where the conversation keeps stalling, a car journey, a queue, a dinner where two friends have just met. It's also a decent warm-up before a heavier question game, because it gets people used to answering out loud. There's no scoring and no winner — just a hundred small preferences that add up to a surprisingly clear picture of a person.
