💯 10 Out of 10, But…
Picture a partner who is perfect on paper, with exactly one flaw. Flip a card and ask each other the only question that matters: could you live with that?
How to play
Take turns flipping a card. Every card describes a perfect partner, then adds one deal-breaker at the end. Whoever reads the card answers first: yes or no, could you live with it? Then your partner answers. The fun starts the second your answers split, because everyone tolerates a different thing. If you want a score, give yourselves a point for every card you agree on and see how compatible you are by the end of the deck.
Why it starts so many arguments
Some cards are light and silly, like leaving socks by the bed or putting ketchup on everything. Others are genuinely hard: a partner who never texts first, shuts down after a fight, or can't stop working. That second group is where you find out what you actually prioritize. One person will not compromise on communication; another cares far more about time, space, or reliability. Nobody argues about the socks for long, but the ketchup card is a nice warm-up.
Who it's for
New couples get a shortcut to knowing each other fast. Long-term couples get a deck of cards that describe them a little too accurately. It works in groups too, since nothing here is explicit. Two people can get through it in ten minutes; a full table can stretch it past an hour.
These couple games are completely free, with no sign-up and nothing to install. Open the questions for couples in your browser, pass the phone around, and let everyone defend the flaw they'd put up with.
