🎆 New Year Games
Don't spend New Year's Eve staring at the TV waiting for midnight. This 60-card deck fills the hours before the countdown with conversation, challenges, and small contests.
Games for New Year's Eve
The hours between dinner and midnight are where New Year's Eve parties go to die. Everyone's fed, nobody wants to start a movie, and the TV countdown is still three hours out. This 60-card New Year's Eve deck fills that gap with conversation prompts, small challenges, predictions, and a few quick group votes.
How to play
Pass a phone around the table and draw one card at a time. Whoever draws answers or does the task, then hands it on. There's no scoring and no losing. Some cards are for the whole group, some target one person, and a few are quiet ones that make people think about the year that's ending. It works with two people on a couch and with twelve around a table.
What's in the deck
Half the cards look back at the year: the best month, the worst purchase, the song that will always mean this December. The other half look forward: resolutions, predictions, and one-word intentions. Together they tend to produce the kind of conversation people actually remember from a New Year's party.
The New Year's Eve game is free, needs no sign-up, and runs in a browser, so it's ready whenever the room goes quiet.
