How to play
There are seven letters in the wheel at the center. Tap them in order, or drag your finger across them, to build a word. If the word is on the list, it opens up in the grid.
The rules
Every word has to be at least three letters long. You can use a letter only as many times as it appears in the wheel. Words you find fill in letter by letter in the grid; the ones you miss stay hidden.
When you get stuck
The Shuffle button moves the letters around the wheel. Seeing the same letters in a new order nudges your brain into trying combinations it had quietly ruled out. Building up from short words helps too: RAT, RATE, GRATE.
The long word that uses all seven letters can look impossible at first, but it usually turns up on its own once you have typed enough of the short ones. More often than not, simply reading the letters in a different order is all it takes.
Alone or with a crowd
Pulling words out of a seven-letter wheel is a calm mental workout on your own, but it moves a lot faster when you put the phone in the middle of the table and everyone shouts out whatever they spot. Racing to see who finds the long word first also makes it a good breather between louder party games.
