How to play Two Truths and a Lie
One player draws a card. The card gives a topic — travel, childhood, your first job — and that player says three short statements about it. Two are true, one is invented. Everyone else votes on which one is the lie. If the group guesses right, the group scores; if the liar gets away with it, the point is theirs. Then the next player draws. That is the whole game, and it works with three people or thirteen.
Why the topic cards help
The classic version dies the moment somebody says "I can't think of anything." That is what these 60 cards fix. A topic narrows the field enough that a story shows up instantly, and it keeps the round moving instead of stalling on a blank stare. Topics also spread the game out, so you are not hearing three travel stories in a row.
Tips for a good lie
The best lie sounds boring. Wild claims get caught immediately, so bury a small false detail inside something plausible — change a year, a city, a number. And tell all three statements at the same speed; people read hesitation faster than they read content. If you want to make it harder, ban follow-up questions. If you want it easier, let the group ask two.
