🎞️ Movie Tournament
32 films, one single-elimination bracket. Finding your favorite movie is harder than you think.
How the movie tournament works
You get two films at a time and you keep exactly one. Winners advance, losers are done. The field of 32 shrinks to 16, 8, 4, and then a final pair, so five quick rounds decide your all-time favorite. No ranking, no stars out of ten, just a straight choice you have to commit to.
Why it's so hard
Comparing films across genres is the whole point. A three-hour epic runs into a ninety-minute animated feature, and you have to decide what favorite actually means to you: the one you admire most, or the one you'd rewatch tonight. Most people discover those are two different movies.
Play it with other people
Everyone plays their own bracket and then you compare finals. It's one of the fastest ways to figure out what a friend's taste really is, and it quietly builds a watch list out of the films that beat yours. It also works as a warm-up before a movie night, when nobody can agree on a genre.
The movie tournament is free, needs no account or email, and opens in your phone's browser. Three minutes in, you'll have a champion and at least one strong opinion you didn't know you had.
