Trick questions are not about intelligence. They are about attention. Almost every question in this pool contains one word that changes everything — "all but nine," "electric train," "Moses" instead of Noah — and the wrong answers are written to reward whoever skimmed. If a question looks like simple arithmetic or general knowledge, that is usually the trap.
How to beat them
Read the question twice before you look at the options, and pay attention to the small qualifiers. Ask yourself what the question literally says rather than what it seems to be asking. Most people lose points not because they do not know the answer, but because they answered a slightly different question than the one on screen. Slowing down by five seconds is worth more here than any amount of trivia knowledge.
A good game for a group
Each round serves fifteen questions drawn at random from thirty, so you can play several times without seeing the same set. Trick questions are at their best when read aloud to other people: someone always answers instantly and confidently, and the moment they realize what they missed is the whole point of the game. Keep score if you want, but the arguments are more fun than the total.
