😤 How Mad Would You Be?
How differently do the two of you react to the exact same thing? Read the scenario, both rate it out of 10, and talk about the gap.
How to play
Flip a card and read the scenario. Then both of you say a number from 0 to 10 at the same time: 0 means you wouldn't even notice, 10 means it would wreck your whole day. If your numbers are three or more apart, stop and talk about why. Making those gaps visible is the entire point of the game.
Why it's actually useful
Almost every couple has heard some version of "why are you making this a big deal?" What's really going on is simple: the same behavior carries wildly different weight for two different people. This deck lets you find out which things are a 2 for you and an 8 for your partner on a calm night, rather than in the middle of a fight. Once you know the map, you stop stepping on the same landmine by accident. A version of this also works well as a guessing game: predict your partner's number before they say it, and give yourself a point every time you nail it.
Who it's for
New couples, couples who live together, roommates, and anyone who's ever been told they overreact. Nothing here is explicit, so it plays fine with friends at the table too.
These couple games are free, require no sign-up, and open right in your browser. Just start flipping questions for couples and let the numbers do the talking.
