Dare Games

πŸ‘‘ Kings Cup

Kings Cup without the bar. All 52 cards carry a rule, the dares pile up, and whoever draws the last king does every single one.

How to play Kings

Put the phone in the middle of the table and take turns flipping a card. The number or face on the card decides what happens that round: an ace starts a story chain, a two lets you pick someone, jacks invent a new rule, and queens flip the whole conversation into questions. Whoever draws the fourth and final king performs every dare that has piled up since the first card, and the round is over. When the deck runs out, the game ends. Shuffle and start again with brand-new house rules whenever you like.

The rules table

Ace waterfall, 2 you pick, 3 that's me, 4 touch the floor, 5 stand up, 6 no laughing, 7 reach for the sky, 8 partner in crime, 9 rhyme time, 10 categories, jack makes a rule, queen becomes question master, king collects the dares. You don't need to memorize any of it, because every card explains itself on screen. No physical deck required, which makes it an easy party game to start with a big group at short notice.

Penalties, and why they stay small

It has the pace of a classic drinking game but it is completely alcohol-free, so it works for any age group and any kind of party. Penalties here are deliberately harmless: take a sip of water, skip a turn, do a quick impression, or dance for five seconds. Nothing embarrassing, nothing risky, and the option to pass stays open to everyone at all times. Kings is free, needs no sign-up, and opens instantly in your phone's browser.
