🙊 Never Have I Ever: Penalty
Never Have I Ever with penalties: read the card, and anyone who has actually done it takes a small forfeit and loses a life. Five lives each, no bar required, works for any age group.
How to play
Everyone starts with five lives. Take turns reading a card out loud; every player who has done the thing on the card loses one life and takes whatever small forfeit the table agreed on, while everyone else is untouched. Players who run out of lives are eliminated but never leave the table, because the best part of the game is the "okay, but how did that happen" that follows every confession. The last player standing wins. It moves at the same speed with five people as with ten, and you can stop after any round.
Two modes: Classic and Bold
The Classic deck sticks to everyday confessions anyone can answer comfortably: snoozing alarms, texting the wrong person, falling asleep halfway through a film. The Bold deck goes after the moments that get more laughs and require more defending, but it never goes past flirty. With a big group or people who have just met, start on Classic and switch to Bold once the room warms up.
Choosing the forfeit
It has the shape of a classic drinking game but it is completely alcohol-free, so it works for any age group. Keep the forfeits small and harmless: take a sip of water, skip a turn, sing a few lines to the group, or do a ten-second impression. Nothing embarrassing, nothing that requires leaving the room.
