🫀 Emotional Intelligence Quiz
How well do you read and express emotions in a relationship? Measure it across 12 scenarios.
Why emotional intelligence matters in love
Emotional intelligence is being able to notice and name what you feel, and to make room for what someone else feels. In a relationship it directly determines how long arguments last, whether apologies actually land, and whether good news really gets shared. The questions in this quiz skip abstract definitions in favor of everyday scenes: a partner sitting in silence, a voice getting louder, a piece of criticism you didn't ask for.
How to read your score
A low score doesn't mean you're cold; it usually means the habit of expressing feelings was never built. The good news is these are learnable skills, and the two most effective ones are simple: ask instead of guessing, and acknowledge the other person's feeling before you argue with it. People who score high should watch for the opposite trap — you don't have to carry everyone's emotions.
A reminder
This is just for fun, not a diagnosis, an ability test, or a psychological assessment. It's a mirror for looking at your own reactions from the outside. The most useful way to play is to take it separately from your partner, compare answers, and talk through the "do you really do that?" moments.
The emotional intelligence quiz is free and asks for no sign-up or email. Twelve scenarios take a few minutes in your browser, and the result works best as a starting point for a conversation.
