🚩 Red Flag or Green Flag Test
Score your partner's behavior across 12 questions and find out where you land: green flags or red flags.
What does this test measure?
Red flag and green flag are the everyday shorthand for whether a behavior in a relationship is a warning sign or a good one. This red flag test walks through 12 concrete situations: how apologies get made, respect for boundaries, how your partner treats your friends, money, jealousy, the tone after an argument, and more. For each question you pick the option closest to how your partner actually behaves. The higher the score, the more red flags are showing.
How should you interpret the result?
A high score on its own doesn't mean "end this relationship." It shows you which areas keep producing the same problem. By the same logic, a low score doesn't mean everything is flawless. The most productive way to use this is to note the two or three behaviors you scored highest and bring them up in a calm moment. Behavior can change; the real question is whether the person across from you is open to talking about it.
Important note
This is a self-reflection tool, not a diagnosis of any kind, psychological or medical. If there is physical violence, threats, intimidation, or anything that puts your safety at risk, that isn't a quiz question. Please talk to someone you trust and reach out to a professional.
The red flag test is free and requires no sign-up; it runs in your browser on your phone. Read the result not as a verdict but as a list that makes visible which behaviors are genuinely bothering you.
